MR MIKE TYSON'S VISA

EDM number 755 in 1999-00, proposed by Norman A Godman on 18/05/2000.

That this House notes with regret the decision of the Home Office to grant an entry visa to Mr Mike Tyson in light of the widespread speculation tha the American boxer hopes to take part in a boxing match at either Hampden or Parkhead in Glasgow; and urges Glasgow City Council to refuse applications for a licence to organise such a contest at any venue in the City of Glasgow.

This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs.
