Post Office Pension Fund

EDM number 643 in 1999-00, proposed by Nick Palmer on 13/04/2000.

That this House notes that the Post Office has responded to a surplus in its pensions fund by giving itself a contributions holiday for the last 13 years, instead of using the windfall to improve the position of its pensioners; regrets that the Corporation should follow worst industry practice in this respect; and urges Post Office pension fund trustees to review their policy.

This motion has been signed by a total of 65 MPs.
