Cash Machine Charges (No. 2)

That this House congratulates the Government on the threat to take legal action against high street banks unless they disclose charges for cash machine withdrawals; believes that customers should be warned on screen when they are being charged and by how much they are being charged; congratulates those banks and building societies which continue to offer free access to cash machines; and urges the Government to require that the financial institutions increase the sums of money allowed in cash back transactions in supermarkets.
