That this House, in common with all parliaments of the Commonwealth, proudly observes Commonwealth Day on Monday 13th March; recognises the increasing potential of the Commonwealth in helping its diverse membership to improve communications and international understanding following the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Durban in November last; gratefully acknowledges the work of the United Kingdom branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in strengthening the links binding together the Commonwealth's ever-widening family and in sharing experiences in the field of democracy building at all levels of government; and looks forward to welcoming delegates to the 46th annual conference of the Association, to be held in September of this millennium year in London and Edinburgh.
