Quarantine For Rescue Dogs
EDM number 47 in 1999-00, proposed by Nick Palmer on 17/11/1999.
That this House notes the appalling dilemma of relief organisations such as Rapid UK who wish to take rescue dogs to disaster areas but will have to put them in quarantine on their return; and urges that rescue dogs be exempt from quarantine rules in order that they may be used to save lives, with inoculations and passports used instead to prevent the import of rabies.
This motion has been signed by a total of 64 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
