SURREY COMET 'LOLLIPOP' PATROL CAMPAIGN

EDM number 430 in 1999-00, proposed by Edward Davey on 28/02/2000.

That this House congratulates the Surrey Comet on their succesful lollipop patrol campaign highlighting the fact that there is a chronic shortage of lollipop attendants throughout the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames; notes that this is likely to be reflected across the country and therefore poses a significant threat to the safety of school children walking to school; is concerned that the Government does not collect figures centrally on this issue; and calls upon the Government to give the necessary support to all authorities responsible for providing this vital service in order to reverse this dangerous trend.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
