North West European Rail Link
EDM number 163 in 1999-00, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 08/12/1999.
That this House notes that the North West Region is still not served with direct rail services through the Channel Tunnel into France; believes that a region with a population of nearly seven million and one of the largest economies within the United Kingdom should be served with adequate rail facilities to Europe which would boost business, trade and commerce; and calls on the Government to support the introduction of direct rail services from the North West to Europe.
This motion has been signed by a total of 26 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
