Conduct Of The Right Honourable Member For Wokingham

EDM number 146 in 1999-00, proposed by Nick Palmer on 06/12/1999.

That this House notes that the Right honourable Member for Wokingham the Shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry is a director of Murray Financial, which was set up purely to make 'carpetbagger' takeovers of building societies; further notes that the first proposed victim, the Leek United Building Society, voted by 73 per cent. to reject the takeover; and calls on the Shadow Secretary to occupy his time more productively by developing some plausible policies.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
