Railtrack

EDM number 1080 in 1999-00, proposed by George Galloway on 24/10/2000.

That this House, informed by Railtrack that it was aware of the potentially dangerous state of their track at Hatfield and elsewhere, considers that the company's decision to continue operating high speed rail services over that track notwithstanding those dangers renders the board of directors and the executives responsible liable to prosecution for corporate manslaughter; and calls upon the Home Secretary and the Director of Public Prosecutions to give urgent consideration to such charges.

This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
