Sexually Transmitted Infections In Men

That this House notes that sexually transmitted infections are increasing in men and that trends indicate a dramatic rise in the diagnosis of genital herpes and chlamydia, with new cases of chlamydia among men aged 16 to 44 having increased by 16 per cent. between 1997 and 1998; and congratulates the Doctor Patient Partnership and the Men's Health Forum on the innovative campaign to provide information on the symptoms, tests and treatments for STIs to men at work and at play at rugby and football matches, motor racing events, pubs and universities.
