EDM number 1005 in 1999-00, proposed by Ann Clwyd on 20/07/2000.
That this House recognises the potentially crucial impact of the United States of America's Nuclear Missile Defence System upon nuclear arms proliferation, the security of the UK and world peace; believes, consequently, that no decision should be made with respect to support of the US Nuclear Missile Defence system during the parliamentary recess; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to recall Parliament should such a decision need to be taken.
