Vivek And Vidyullata Pandit

EDM number 998 in 1998-99, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 09/11/1999.

That this House congratulates the human rights activists Vivek and Vidyullata Pandit on receiving the 1999 Anti-Slavery Award for their outstanding work over the last 20 years to free and rehabilitate bonded labourers in India; notes that millions of people around the world continue to be enslaved through bonded labour; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to work bilaterally and through all available inter-governmental organisations to ensure that this grave human rights violation does not continue into the next millennium.

This motion has been signed by a total of 7 MPs.
