Animal Memorial

EDM number 993 in 1998-99, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 08/11/1999.

That this House supports the proposal for a memorial dedicated to animals in war; believes that a sculpture is a fitting tribute to the whole range of animals used in wartime, acting as a reminder to people ot the extent to which animals were used during wars in the 20th century and the numbers that died during service; and hopes the memorial will be placed in a prime site.

This motion has been signed by a total of 24 MPs.
