PRESIDENT ZEMIN'S VISIT

EDM number 935 in 1998-99, proposed by Tom Brake on 21/10/1999.

That this House notes that in China people have to struggle to protest because they have no democracy; believes that nobody in Britain should have to struggle to protest peacefully because the United Kingdom prides itself on being a democracy; and believes that no head of state should be spared the views of its opponents.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
