Immigration Rules And DNA Testing

That this House regrets the injustice facing young men from the Indian subcontinent who remain separated from their families following the Home Office refusal in the 1970s and 1980s to accept their claims as dependent relatives with a right to settle in the United Kingdom; is concerned that where these claims have now been conclusively proved through DNA testing, the Home Office still refuses to reunite these young men with their families; and calls upon the Home Secretary to review his recent decision not to extend the provisions of the 1988 concession to the Immigration Rules to all those young men able to conclusively establish their relationships through DNA testing.
