25th Anniversary Of Crossroads

EDM number 851 in 1998-99, proposed by Bob Russell on 20/07/1999.

That this House congratulates the carers' organisation Crossroads on its 25th anniversary; notes that it promotes, offers, supports and delivers high-quality services for carers and people with care needs; acknowledges that currently, through more than 200 schemes in England and Wales, its 3,755 care staff offer around three million hours supporting 28,000 carers each year; congratulates those who established Crossroads in 1974, including ATV, producers of the television programme of this name; pays tribute to all associated with the charity over its first 25 years; welcomes the launch of its three-year strategy to extend and improve its services; and wishes Crossroads further success in the years ahead.
