Future Of Cyprus (No. 2)

That this House believes that after 25 years, the Cyprus problem has gone unresolved for too long; welcomes the intention of the Secretary General of the UN to invite both sides to a fresh round of negotiations on the basis of existing UN resolutions; urges all concerned to seize this best opportunity for 25 years to end the enforced division of Cyprus and its people and to ensure a secure and prosperous future for all Cypriots within the European Union; and endorses the statement of the G8 countries that the resolution of the Cyprus problem would have a positive impact on peace and stability in the region.
