That this House notes that, of only 10 colleges awarded Beacon Status nationwide two, Knowsley Community College and Carmel College St. Helens, are in Merseyside; further notes that Knowsley Community College is one of only four colleges awarded both Beacon Status and Accreditation; and congratulates these colleges on their exceptional achievement which well reflects the high quality of provision available to further education students in Merseyside.
