That this House, concerned at the reports it has received of major contamination of workers, residents and the environment by arsenic, lead, heavy metals and radioactive material, causing leukaemia, cancers and other serious illnesses all deriving from the activities of Rio Tinto plc and the operation of its former Capper Pass smelting plant near Hull, invites Her Majesty's Government to institute a full public inquiry and report back to the House.
