Museum Of Citizenship

That this House, in supporting the many measures being taken in Belfast to help the city emerge from decades of violence and sectarianism, particularly congratulates Belfast Trades Council on its initiative to support this process by forming a broad consensus to establish a high tech, hands on, interactive museum of citizenship that confronts prejudice and promotes a sense of common citizenship and responsibility; and notes that the museum will play a major part in addressing a conflict resolution in a local and global context and will contribute to the construction of a tolerant society marked by mutual respect and community co-operation.
