Vauxhall Vectra
EDM number 522 in 1998-99, proposed by Tim Loughton on 13/04/1999.
That this House welcomes the effort being made by the motor industry to heighten public interest in liquefied petroleum gas; recognises that liquefied petroleum gas is an alternative road fuel that can greatly reduce emissions; recognises that liquefied petroleum gas vehicles are as competitive and readily available as conventionally powered cars and up to 30 per cent. cheaper to run; and congratulates Mark Ticehurst for coming second in the Vectra V6 race on 5th March when driving a Vauxhall Vectra powered by liquefied petroleum gas, especially as all the other competitors were driving fossil-fuelled cars.
This motion has been signed by a total of 25 MPs.
