Conduct Of The Paymaster General (No. 2)

EDM number 492 in 1998-99, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 25/03/1999.

That this House calls on the Prime Minister to instruct other Treasury Ministers to demonstrate respect for the House, its honourable Members and its responsibilities and never again to allow an Answer as evasive as the written reply on married couples allowance, Official Report, column 201, 23rd March 1999; and notes that, while the Paymaster General chose to declare that some families would gain from the children's tax credit, she decided to hide the fact that over 12 million married people may lose.

This motion has been signed by a total of 1 MPs.
