That this House deplores the Bank of Scotland's proposed business association with the fundamentalist evangelist Pat Robertson, who is known for his extreme views on women, religious and ethnic minorities, lesbians and gays, and even the United Nations; considers it inappropriate that an organisation which is held in high regard and has such a high civic profile in Scotland should consider doing business with such a man; and joins with those councillors and churchmen who are urging the bank to reconsider its plans.
