RADIO CLYDE'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

That this House congratulates Radio Clyde on reaching its 25th anniversary, notes that its two stations, Clyde 1 FM and Clyde 2 AM which serve West Central Scotland have the best radio listening figures in the United Kingdom; compliments it on its charitable activities including raising nearly ú7 million for needy and underprivileged children in its coverage area, its community involvement, programme innovation, employee/management relations and facilities, and for giving so much pleasure and entertainment to so many people; further notes its 25th anniversary celebrations being held on Friday 19th March in Glasgow attended by the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Right honourable Member for Glasgow, Anniesland; and wishes all its listeners and everyone connected with the station all the best for next 25 years.
