This House notes that when hospital waiting lists went up in December 1998, the BBC demanded that Ministers appear on television and radio news programmes to explain the figures, yet when the figures came down by a greater amount in January no such invitations were issued; and concludes that this is yet another example of the BBC talking Britain down.
