Milk For Schools

That this House welcomes the Government's commitment to improving the health of children, including the proposals for activities to contribute to The Healthy Schools Initiative contained in the Green Paper, Our Healthier Nation; notes that milk contains a wide range of nutrients, all essential for growing children; and urges the Government to take the initiative on the future of milk by actively promoting existing schemes, supported by the National Dairy Council, for restoring free milk for primary schoolchildren.
