30 Years Of Steam In The Worth Valley

That this House congratulates the Keighley and Worth Valley Preservation Society on celebrating 30 years of providing an excellent public railway service which has been much appreciated by the people of the valley and thousands of visitors from all parts of the world, in addition to its fine record of locomotive and rolling stock preservation; recognises that its achievements have been possible due to the tireless work of dedicated volunteers who fulfil every conceivable role in providing a safe and attractive environment for visitors and passengers with great skill and imagination, many having been with the society since its inception in 1962; and notes with great approval and highly democratic nature of this organisation, which will keep this magnificent and unique line in safe hands for very many more years with the support of the communities of Keighley, Ingro, Oakworth, Haworth and Oxenhope.
