Medway Council Education Funding

EDM number 379 in 1998-99, proposed by Jonathan Shaw on 02/03/1999.

That this House deplores the action of Conservative and Liberal Democrat members of Medway Council for voting down the Labour group budget resulting in a cut of ú250,000 from primary school funds; notes the council has free reserves of ú30 million; and calls on the Conservative and Liberal Democrat groups on the council to reverse this decision and put Medway schoolchildren at the top of their agenda.
