Genetically-Modified Crops
EDM number 333 in 1998-99, proposed by Robert Syms on 16/02/1999.
That this House notes that the Catering Committee has banned genetically-modified foods from the House and that the Chairman, the honourable Member for Wolverhampton South East, has called for a proper inquiry but that the Right honourable Member for Copeland has rejected calls for a moratorium on commercial planting of genetically-modified crops; and calls on the Prime Minister to explain clearly the reason why he rejects a moratorium on commercial planting of genetically-modified crops.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
