That this House congratulates George Welsh of Cheltenham on receiving a Gold Medal for 50 years' service to the Royal Air Force Association; notes his 23 years' service in the RAF and his Life Membership of the Burma Star and Bomber Command Associations; welcomes his 49 years' association with the Royal British Legion during which time he has collected many thousands of pounds for disabled war veterans and where he remains on the local executive committee; commends his 32 years of enthusiastic activity with the Air Training Corps; believes he exemplifies the honest, hard-working heroes of his generation who have dedicated their lives in loyal service to other and to preserving peace throughout the world; and wishes him well in his continuing work with 537 ATC Squadron and the Staverton Airport Museum.
