Victims Of Terrorist Violence

EDM number 246 in 1998-99, proposed by Jeffrey Donaldson on 26/01/1999.

That this House views with concern the growing number of books which have been published by former terrorist prisoners in respect of their terrorist activities in the United Kingdom, and in Northern Ireland in particular; notes the hurt and renewed trauma which this can cause to the victims and their families view the manner in which terrorists are able to profit from their past crime, including murder; and calls on the Home Secretary to initiate a review of the relevant legislation to ensure that adequate safeguards are provided for the victims of terrorist violence to protect from further suffering in this way.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
