Registration Of Raptors
EDM number 217 in 1998-99, proposed by Barry Gardiner on 20/01/1999.
That this House recognises the widespread interest that hawking and falconry have in the U.K.; notes that the British Hawking Association considers there is a need to protect raptors from careless ownership; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to develop a hawk and raptor ownership and licensing scheme which will protect the birds and establish their legitimate owners.
