Conduct Of The Prime Minister

EDM number 159 in 1998-99, proposed by Julie Kirkbride on 12/01/1999.

That this House notes with concern that the Right honourable Member for Hartlepool was allowed to represent the Prime Minister at a meeting with a Minister from Germany, despite his recent resignation caused by his failure to disclose a serious conflict of interest between his role as Secretary of State and as a debtor of the former Paymaster-General; further notes the Prime Minister's alleged commitment to high standards in Government; and is astonished by his decision to allow the United Kingdom to be represented by a disgraced ex-Minister.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
