Appointments To The South West Regional Development Agency

That this House notes with regret that of the thirteen board members appointed to the South West Regional Development Agency, none represent organisations, or hold positions, in Gloucestershire; points out that because of its peripheral position in the South West Region, Gloucestershire frequently loses out in grants and funding when compared to the other counties in the Region; is concerned that the failure to appoint a person nominated by any organisation in Gloucestershire will further marginalise the County; and calls upon the Minister to reconsider the appointments.
