Human Rights Abuses By Loyalist Paramilitary Groups In Northern Ireland

EDM number 140 in 1998-99, proposed by Harry Barnes on 16/12/1998.

That this House notes that in 1998 the number of children exiled with their families is 61, 56 since 10th April 1998; further notes that Loyalist paramilitary groups have intimidated 54 children out of their own areas, 40 since 10th April 1998; recognises that the number of children who have been subject to beatings or were forced to watch beatings is 17, 11 since 10th April; and further recognises that the number of children who were shot or forced to watch shootings is 7, 3 since 10th April.
