Human Rights Abuses By The Ira In Northern Ireland

EDM number 139 in 1998-99, proposed by Harry Barnes on 16/12/1998.

That this House notes that in 1998 the IRA has reportedly exiled 127 children, 113 since 10th April; further notes that they have intimidated 41 children out of their own areas, 34 since 10th April; recognises that the number of children who have been subject to beatings or were forced to watch beatings is 38, 28 since 10th April; and further recognises that the number of children who were shot or forced to watch shootings is 15, 8 since 10th April.
