Chile (No. 4)

That this House extends its goodwill and congratulations to the Government and people of Chile who together have resolved a deep division within their society involving horrific violence on both sides on the basis of democracy and forgiveness; considers that the UK has no entitlement to criticise until it has successfully resolved the deep division in Northern Ireland; and deplores the decision of the Home Secretary, which will result in lengthy and costly legal actions achieving nothing except anger, frustration and renewed division in Chile.
