Youth Services In Calderdale

That this House congratulates the Calderdale Community Education Service and the young people using the service on the publication of their consultation report Young People First; notes that the 'need to create more jobs' and 'improve and increase sports facilities for young people' within Calderdale were the priorities for young people themselves; and urges the Government to respond to the voice of young people by putting the provision of youth and community education services on a statutory basis and by giving local authorities adequate funding for these services.
