Essex Pig

EDM number 662 in 1997-98, proposed by Bob Russell on 19/01/1998.

That this House welcomes the news that a few survivors of the Essex pig, a breed believed to have become extinct, have been located at Layer Marney Tower in the Borough of Colchester; hopes that the one breeding boar and three sows will have the strength to increase the breed's population in time for this summer's Essex County Show; and calls on all who care about rare breeds to help ensure the survival of the Essex pig.

This motion has been signed by a total of 15 MPs.
