That this House congratulates Southlands High School in Chorley on being awarded specialist schools status and being recognised as one of 18 newly-designated specialist technology colleges in the country; and believes that this is due to the hard work and dedication of all those involved, including the Headmaster John Lawson, the teaching staff, and sponsors such as British Aerospace, Vektor Education, Pontins, AMEC, Zentek and Dussek Campbell.
