Conduct Of Labour Honourable Members And Early Day Motion 333
EDM number 514 in 1997-98, proposed by John Swinney on 27/11/1997.
That this House notes that at least 10 Labour honourable Members have withdrawn their names from Early Day Motion 333 (Lone Parent Child Benefit); regrets that they have stepped back from such a public criticism of the Government's proposal to cut benefits for single parents; and hopes that they have not succumbed to pressure from Labour Party Whips and that they will still vote against the Government's proposed cut when it comes before the House.
This motion has been signed by a total of 3 MPs.
