Limit On Party Expenditure In Elections
EDM number 472 in 1997-98, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 17/11/1997.
That this House calls upon the Government to introduce legislation that will set a maximum expenditure level which any political party can incur in general and Welsh Assembly election campaigns by way of general advertising and promoting the party; and that this general limit shall apply over the above the current constituency maximum spending limits which apply to the campaigns of individual candidates.
