BBC RADIO 4 PROGRAMME 'WEEK IN WESTMINSTER'

EDM number 458 in 1997-98, proposed by Paul Tyler on 13/11/1997.

That this House is dismayed by the proposed rescheduling of the 'Week in Westminster' from 11.00 am on Saturdays to 8.30 pm on Thursday; believes that this change would cut the number of listeners by half and reduce the value of the programme as an over-view of the whole Parliamentary week; and urges the BBC to retain at its present time this programme, which has been until now a very highly regarded and popular feature amongst opinion formers for some 70 years.

This motion has been signed by a total of 56 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
