Two Minute Silence

EDM number 425 in 1997-98, proposed by Paul Keetch on 11/11/1997.

That this House congratulates the Royal British Legion on the success of their campaign for a two minute silence on the eleventh hours, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, in remembrance of all those who died for freedom in two world wars and in other conflicts; and calls upon all Government departments and agencies to mark the silence in 1998.
