Closure Of Samsung Factory - North Yorkshire

EDM number 422 in 1997-98, proposed by Phil Willis on 10/11/1997.

That this House regrets the decision of Samsung Heavy Industries (Europe) Ltd to close its factory in North Yorkshire with the loss of 150 jobs; and calls on the Government to contact Samsung HI (Europe) Ltd to explore alternative courses of action to avoid closure.
