Mother Teresa

EDM number 385 in 1997-98, proposed by David Amess on 03/11/1997.

That this House recognises the work done by Mother Teresa with the poor and needy during her lifetime; notes that she maintained the work into her final years despite often delicate health; notes that her actions came from a desire to emulate the example of Christ; acknowledges her care and compassion for the poor, the sick, the needy and children both born and unborn; and applauds the continuing work done by her Order, the Missionaries of Charity, in the streets of Calcutta and worldwide, including the United Kingdom.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
