Act And Essex County Council

That this House deplores the effects of ACT on Essex County Council Pension Funds; notes that, as a result of the consequential shortfall in resources, services will have to be cut by ú6 million; and regrets that the one per cent. increase in the budget for the fire and police services in contrast to four per cent. given by the Conservative Government when inflation was two and a half per cent. means that essential services will suffer.
