Accident Prevention Amongst Children

EDM number 175 in 1997-98, proposed by Fraser Kemp on 26/06/1997.

That this House commends the contribution of the City of Sunderland Zone Rangers Challenge 1997 in raising awareness of accident prevention amongst children; supports the cooperation of local government agencies; business and the emergency services to give 'hands on' safety experience to 2400 primary school children; and believes that this is a positive example of cooperation between all sections of the community which provides a useful lesson in such matters to the rest of the United Kingdom.
