leave out from 'resource' to end and add 'and deplores the fact that the Government are proposing to cut the numbers of the Territorial Army from 59,000 to 40,000 people and to close a number of territorial units; calls on the Government to explain how in this context the Territorial Army will be able to recruit from all areas of the United Kingdom and how they will be able to fulfil their existing role of providing support for the regular forces in performing their defence role of the United Kingdom; and calls on the Government to reconsider these far-reaching and ill-thought out proposals.'.
