That this House notes that 16th October marked the 20th anniversary of the election of Pope John Paul II; congratulates him on being the longest serving Pope this century; notes that he has travelled to more countries than any previous Pontiff; welcomes his enthusiastic support for the Catholic community in Britain, and for strengthening the ties between the Anglican and Catholic church; and hopes that his positive contributions will continue in the future.
